Dancing With The Stars – Season Seven – Week 5 – The Results

This week the dancers and celebs took on four new dances for Dancing With The Stars, next week Dancing with the Stars will take on a new judge, Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley will fill in for Len Goodman who is also a judge on the British version of Dancing With The Stars. Tonight’s musical guest Brian Setzer Band rocked the house with <I>Rockin’ This Town</I> accompanied by Katrina Smirnov and Louis Van Amstel.

Tonight’s Ballroom kids featured 10 olds Anthony and Alyssa from Los Angles dancing the Jive, against 12 year old Mitchell and 13 year old Maria, of Philadelphia who danced a Paso Dobles.  The latter, on a vote of 2 to 1 move into the dance eliminations at the end of the season.

The Macy’s Stars of Dance featured a major production of dance moves spanning from the 1930s into the future.  Choreographed by Rich and Tone, twenty six dancers honored the styles of the thirties, sixties, eighties, and some year in the future. It was, yawn, not up to the hype.

So which couples fell into the bottom two of the week, and who went home?  Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani, and Toni Braxton and Alec Maso.
